Strength is more than muscle size
Neural skill, coordination, balance, and confidence contribute to function. That is why useful improvements may appear even when a scan shows little mass change.
Train the tasks that preserve independence
Squatting to a chair, stepping, hinging, pushing, pulling, carrying, and rising from the floor map well to daily demands. Progress resistance over time.
Support the training
Adequate food, protein, sleep, and management of chronic disease matter. Unintentional weight loss or a notable decline in grip, walking, or daily function deserves clinical assessment.
