Start with controlled dynamic exercise
Use moderate loads, smooth repetitions, longer rests, and major-muscle exercises that feel stable. Avoid maximal testing at the beginning.
Keep breathing
Do not deliberately hold your breath through long grinding repetitions. Exhale through the effort and stop the set before technique and breathing become forced.
Know the stop signs
Stop and seek appropriate care for chest pressure, fainting, unusual severe breathlessness, palpitations with symptoms, or a clinician-defined warning sign.
